How To Tame An Animal By Doctoring Rimworld
Hello anybody Finally decided to brand an account and mail service some questions as I couldn't find anywhere online that had my answers. I may edit this post and add more questions when I recall of more. I accept so many
If you know (or call up you may know) the answer to one of my questions, please, don't be silent! I want this to exist a good resource for people curious near taming and doctoring animals. I will exist modifying this original post with answers creditting the person.
1.) I know a wild animal can be tamed through existence rescued and healed by a dr. - only does anyone know the % run a risk?
Answer: Doctors have a 0.4% chance of bonding with an animate being each time they tend it (bonded animals auto tame). [courtesy of Zhentar]
two.) Does the tame chance through healing go upwardly with a higher Medico skill?
Answer: No, because each wound healed gives a flat .4% chance to bond with (and thus, tame) the animal. [courtesy of Zhentar]
3.) Does % taming take chances from healing vary from animal to brute?
Answer: See above answer
4.) Does sterile tile help when doctoring animals/pets?
Answer:
v.) Taming chance based off healing or taming skill? or a combination of both? (I assume Doctor only am just not sure)
The Existent question as to the best mode to "tame" a thrumbo
half dozen.) Does each individual wound healed accept a % adventure to tame, or is the tame check made afterward the fauna is FULLY healed? (i.east. healing a 20x wound thrumbo vs a 1x wound thrumbo. 1 check later each wound healed - 20 full - or one upon full recovery?)
Answer: For each wound healed, a .4% tame check is made. ane wound healed on any given will issue in one bond/tame check of .4%, and twenty wounds healed on any given fauna will give the doctor twenty bond/tame checks.
I've been getting into dealing with animals a lot lately . I've also been trying to figure out the nearly "reliable" way to tame Thrumbos.
From these questions and the answers, we tin can conclude that:
A.) The most constructive form of "taming" a thrumbo is arguably through doctoring.
- An creature handler with level skill 18 (that'due south my handler for point of reference) has a .68% chance to tame each attempt. I imagine at treatment level twenty the % is shut to or above 1% BUT when you consider that you become i tame effort every, oh i don't know what it is, couple of hours in game, as opposed to x amount (i had about 20 in my test) of wounds on a thrumbo to heal @ four% each. Even Zhentars claim that Tynan nerfed information technology from 1% to .4% from A15->A16 shows that taming [thrumbos] through doctoring was besides strong.
